Virtual-reality experiences are growing more widespread, but not all are convincing. One that is? CRARI OR NOT, in which we see life through the eyes of partying teenagers. As they are letting loose, the social façade they have constructed comes crashing down.
Equipped with a headset, the audience steps inside a raucous high school party. This central experience is interwoven with the characters’ Instagram accounts and a series of digital, fun, literary and sensory installations. CRARI OR NOT is a fine-drawn, realistic look at the paradoxes that define an entire generation.
A unique transmedia project explored with the senses, CRARI OR NOT delves into the passion and drama of adolescence. Who are we during this transition period? Émilie Anna Maillet paints a vibrant, complex picture using new technological tools, from social networks to virtual reality.
