Karl Van Welden’s performance A Fall will certainly bring a tear to your eye, so touching is this representation of the passing of time and human finitude.

Born from the artist’s fascination with volcanoes, it features a vinyl turntable that is slowly covered with a shower of ashes, until music and movement come to a halt. All that remains before our eyes is a fragile and useless object in a monochrome landscape.
